At Benton Foundry, Inc., a hydraulic valve body was successfully manufactured for applications in the heavy equipment and material handling industry. The production process involved solidification analysis using Magmasoft software and advanced manufacturing processes in the Core, Molding, and Finishing departments.

The finished component measured 2 x 6 x 17 inches, achieving tight tolerances of ±0.015 inches on internal surfaces. It was produced using Class 80-55-06 ductile iron (ASTM A536) and featured a 400 to 500 rms material finish, ensuring both durability and consistency.

Extensive in process testing and inspection with automated controls and complete traceability were performed to guarantee quality. Production volumes were tailored to customer requirements, with a delivery turnaround of 6 weeks to multiple domestic locations, meeting ASTM A536 standards.
